A Green Milestone

Devon Highways

It was great to meet the Milestone Infrastructure team, part of the Devon Highways team who we have enjoyed working with for a number of years.

These six new tractors will join their expanding fleet acting as part of the solution in maintaining local roads and infrastructure across Devon. These tractors will assist with a number of activities, including:

– Cutting verges and hedges to maintain safe highway visibility
– Verge ploughing and ditch clearing to drain the highway
– Snow clearing operations

As well as many more, which leads to all year-round usage.

Masons Kings and John Deere were chosen for a multitude of reasons including the great service and reliability they have received with previous machines. Another factor at the forefront of all business activity is reducing our carbon footprint. The John Deere tracker system can relay the performance of the tractor including fuel efficiency, regular maintenance planning and diagnostic codes, this enables our technicians to diagnose problems and fix any issues in a single local visit, greatly reducing our carbon footprint by increasing efficiency and decreasing miles travelled. Milestone Infrastructure have also specified a special road tyre to optimise rolling efficiency whilst working on Devon roads, with significant efficiency benefits. This coupled with some of the best emission and fuel efficiency figures on the market means that John Deere is the only choice for companies such as Milestone Infrastructure and Devon Highways who are taking important steps towards becoming carbon neutral.
