The RLA 240 is a compact cordless aerator for scarifying and combing smaller areas of lawn. Central adjustment of the working depth using a rotary switch on the housing, handlebar with 4 height adjustment settings, 34 cm working width, 16 blades. Includes scarifying blade, spring tine roller and 50-litre grass catcher box. Working area covered with one AK 30 battery is up to 250 m².

The scarifier was bought without a battery and is sturdy, and robust. I found that if the grass collector box used with the scarifier blades the casing rapidly filled causing the motor to stall, this may ease during future use as the thatch is reduced. A separate rake attachment is provided to assist in collecting the waste if needed, maybe this is the way it should be used.
I was disappointed in that the unit supplied was clearly an ex-display unit. It had been disassembled, the parts put in the OEM box and was totally inadequately packed in the shipping container, this caused the box to be damaged during transit resulting in some of the loose parts being lost. When this was reported to the supplier, they rapidly addressed the situation and shipped the spare parts needed to complete the assembly.
